
Hannah is the founder of Ambition Academy and has taught dance from a young age. Whilst studying for a BA Hons Degree in English, Hannah qualified as a dance teacher gaining Distinctions in her teaching qualifications with the IDTA. Hannah was awarded a scholarship to train in Musical Theatre at SLP College, and gained a Distinction in her Trinity Diploma in Dance & Musical Theatre. Ambition Academy is a product of Hannah’s vision dreamt up at the mere age of 8! Hannah continues to learn, grow and develop the business and is always striving to improve.

With over 20 years of teaching experience, Sophie brings passion and versatility to every class. She’s taught across schools and performing arts colleges in Lancashire, Liverpool, and West Yorkshire, and has performed with RJC Dance Company, the Wakefield Wildcats, and for CID UNESCO in Switzerland. Sophie specialises in Baton Twirling, Jazz, and Urban Dance Styles, and holds a degree in Dance (Choreography & Community Dance) from Liverpool. She also runs SS Dance & Wellbeing, promoting the positive impact of dance on mental and physical health.

Emily has been dancing with us since we first opened in 2007. Hannah trained her as an assistant before continuing her training to become a fully qualified teacher in Dance. After graduating from Midlands Academy of Dance and Drama in 2021, Emily came back to teach with us. She continued to develop her teaching skills with the IDTA, gaining Distinction in her Level 4 Diploma. Emily loves to dance and share her knowledge with our dancers, especially in Ballet! We are proud of Emily’s commitment and hard work from such a young age create her dream of being a Dance Teacher.

Holly has been at Ambition for almost 15 years! Currently still taking 7 classes a week herself and recently gaining a distinction in Grade 5 Ballet along with Emily, Holly is a familiar face on reception, in the cafe and this year has taken on teaching her own class. Holly has taken it all in her stride even putting her class in for an exam! Outside of Ambition she is also studying for her A-Levels next year as she prepares to go to University.

Felicity Porter began her dance training at Dorothy Stevens, gaining her Level 4 teaching qualifications with the British Ballet organisation. Her exciting performing career includes: touring India with a dance company, a part of the Bulkanski Bulgarian National Circus, fire eating and stilt walking! Felicity also has earned her Level 3 cheer and tumble qualifications having previously run a cheerleading academy!
