Safeguarding Responsibilities
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. All staff, volunteers and contractors are required to report any concerns immediately to the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
Recognising Concerns
Staff are trained to recognise signs of: Physical abuse Emotional abuse Sexual abuse Neglect
Bullying and cyberbullying Online safety concerns Child exploitation and grooming Mental health and wellbeing concerns
Reporting Concerns
Any safeguarding concern will be taken seriously and recorded appropriately. Where a child is at immediate risk of harm, emergency services will be contacted without delay.
Photography & Social Media
Images and videos are only used in line with parental permissions and Academy procedures.
Personal information about children will never be shared publicly alongside images.
Online Safety
Ambition Academy promotes safe and responsible use of technology. Staff maintain professional boundaries and use approved communication channels only.
Safer Recruitment
We operate safer recruitment procedures which may include Enhanced DBS checks, reference checks, identity verification and safeguarding training.
Events, Performances & Holiday Camps
Safeguarding procedures apply across all classes, performances, examinations, workshops, trips, holiday camps and Academy events.
Review
This policy is reviewed annually and updated whenever required to reflect current safeguarding guidance and best practice.
